Kristene Mueller
Bio.
Since she was 18 years old, Kristene Mueller has been an active part of the prayer movement . She spent 6 months in an internship for IHOP KC , singing on the night watch teams and spending time in the prayer room. Shortly thereafter, she joined up with a group of young people , led by Lou Engle, and helped start the Justice House of Prayer in Washington DC. This is where her heart started to connect deeply to the heart of God. She gave herself to leading worship there for 10 months until in the fall of 2005 , when Lou sent out a team of 8 , led by his son Jesse, to start another JHOP in the heart of San Francisco.
Kristene Spent 3 years living on Haight street praying and worshiping over the city and ministering to the heart of God. She is now 23 years old , living in Redding and plans on attending the school of ministry this fall.
Personal.
She burns to see a people awakened to the reality of eternal life, the meaning of existence, and the need for one who overcame death. Nothing gives her more joy than strengthening the body of Christ with hope and courage to persevere through her music, and almost everything she writes is for that purpose. Kristene wants to give her life to make God understood, seen, and recognized as the creator of all we see. Her songs all have a story behind them, something she overcame, a mountian climbed, a race run, obedience learned , and a hope that turned out to be the greatest truth, HE"S REAL!. St. Francis- This song is about the city of San Francisco, written as an encouragement to the church living there. The name of the city actually means "free man" and i can't think of a better way to describe it's destiny. Being there for 3 years , i've seen a lot of what goes on but there are men and women that have given 20, 30, 40 years and for some, their lives to see the salvation of that city. Many have suffered great losses, crazy spiritual warfare, and even jail time for the gospel there. One thing all of these intercessors , street preachers and pastors have in common is their deep devotion to the lonely heart of God and profound willing hearts. I felt like i touched a piece of God's heart for these men and women when i wrote this song. San Francisco's story is to be one of redemption, salvation, and hope realized. It is a city full of watchmen and the faithful, no one can tell me there is no hope for it.
Influences
My musical influences are... #1 Jason Upton, i started writing songs because he demystified the whole idea for me , its really just about the overflow of your heart and what God talks to you about. #2 Misty Edwards, her songs have kept me running and make me want to keep fighting# 3 Rita Springer, When she sings hope and courage fill the room and that is what i want my songs to do . Other influences are Bob Dylan, Rosie Thomas ,and Joe Miller my old church worship leader who first made me sing and let me tag along with him and his band.
